MANILA, Philippines – Naghain ng sampung panukalang batas ang ilang senador bilang indibiduwal na priority measures sa 20th Congress, napag-alaman sa Bills and Index ng Mataas na Kapulungan
Ayon sa naturang tanggapan, naghain ng kani-kanilang pet bills sina Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero kasunod sina Senador Loren Legarda, Bong Go, Vicente Sotto, Bam Aquino at Pia Cayetano.
Nanguna naman sa panukala ni Senador Erwin Tulfo ang isang resolusyon na magrerebyu sa Rice Tarification Law na inirereklamo ng magsasaka na pumapatay sa industriya.
Kabilang sa pet bill ni Escudero ang isang panukalang batas na nag-aatas sa lahat ng empleado at opisyal ng gobyerno na magsumite ng isang “written permission to examine, inquire, or look into all their deposits and investments, thereby waiving the Bank Secrecy Law.”
Nakatakda ibaba din bilang priority measures ang pagpapababa sa compulsory retirement age ng guro at non-teaching school personnel sa Department of Education (DepEd) mula 65 tungo sa 60 years old.
Ilan pa sa priority bills ni Escudero ang mga sumusunod:
An act prohibiting any form of interference by national government agencies with the use of the national tax allotment and locally-generated revenues of local government units;
To further strengthen local autonomy through a more rationalized system of decentralization;
An act promoting business competitiveness by providing temporary tax relief to single proprietorships, cooperatives, partnerships or corporations classified as micro, small and medium enterprises
An act promoting business growth and recovery by reducing the cost of business compliance for micro, small and medium enterprises;
An act providing an increase and an automatic adjustment mechanism in the Personnel Economic Relief Allowance (PERA) granted to government employees;
An act reinstituting mandatory credit allocation for micro, small and medium enterprises, imposing fines and penalties for noncompliance, and for other purposes;
An act providing for the redevelopment of condominiums;
An act establishing a tripartite council to address the problems of unemployment, underemployment, job-skills mismatch and technology-induced job displacement.
Pangunahin naman sa priority bills ni Legarda ang panukalang One Tablet, One Student Act.

Monthly Maintenance Medication Support Act for Senior Citizens

Nakatakdang paimbestigahan naman ni Tulfo sa isang resolusyon upang rebyuhin ang Rice Tariffication Law, at ibalik ang regulatory powers National Food Authority.
Inihain din niya ang National Land Use Act na naglalayong lumikha ng isang rational, holistic, at sustainable land use and physical planning mechanism.
Nanguna naman sa panukala ni Go ang magna carta for barangays, across-the-board wage hike, paglikha ng Department of Disaster Resilience, at probisyon sa expanded tertiary education subsidy.
Inihain naman ni Sotto ang 10 landmark bills na magpapalakas sa government accountability, social welfare, public safety, at institutional reform.
Kabilang dito ang People’s Freedom of Information Act of 2025, Anti-False Content and Fake News Act, 14th Month Pay Law, Maternal Surname for Legitimate Children Act, at Rightsizing the National Government Act.
Para namna kay Aquino, naghain ito ng 10 education-related measures, kabilang ang panukalang punan ang puwang sa education-to-employment gap at palakasin ang implementasyon ng Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) sa ilalim ng Free College Law.
Isinusulong din ni Aquino ang panukalang School-to-Employment Program (STEP) Act na naglalayong lumikha ng job placement offices sa lahat ng public senior high schools, state universities and colleges, at local universities and colleges.
Inihain din niya ang E-Textbook Para sa Lahat Act na nagsasabing “which intends to improve access to textbooks for teachers and learners by requiring all DepEd-approved textbooks for basic education to be made available in digital format, free of charge, through official platforms or other authorized channel.
Pangunahin naman sa panukala ni Senador Pia ang Vapes and HTPs Regulations Act, Allied Health Scholarship and Service Act, spousal And Child Support Act, Walkable and Bikeable Communities Act, Artificial Intelligence Regulation Act, Strengthening the Tertiary Education Subsidy, Tax Exemption for Incentives and Rewards of National Athletes, Repealing Discriminatory Laws Against Women, NO HTOs and Vapes in School Act at Ban on Online Gambling Act.
