Manila, Philippines – Magsasagawa ang Indonesia at Philippine Army (PA) ng mas marami pang training kasunod ng patuloy na kampanya kontra terorismo.
Ito ay kasunod ng courtesy call ni Indonesian Army Command and General Staff College (IACGSC), Major Gen. Kurnia Dewantara kay PA Chief-of-Staff, Major Gen. Jesus B. Sarsagat, sa Army headquarters sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
“We agree that the cooperation between Indonesia and Philippines should be maintained because we face the same threat of terrorism. Through these training exchanges, we are able to learn from each other to develop the best approach to fight it and then solve the problem together,” ani Dewantara.
Kasama namang bumisita ni Dewantara ang kanyang 61-member delegation mula IACGSC para sa Overseas Study Tour na makapagbibigay sa kanila ng pagkakataong matuto sa holistic approach ng international military affairs mula August 5 hanggang August 9.
“As we face terrorism, we also have to deal with new threats like in cyber security. The Philippine Army also sees the importance of strengthening our information sharing and exchanges of intelligence as a way to defeat terrorism,” sabi naman ni Sarsagat.
Dagdag pa nito na ang mga militar ay natututo rin tungkol sa Indonesian counter-terror efforts sa pagbisita nila sa bansa. Remate News Team
